During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 communication apps on Android in Mexico showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at the performance of these popular apps.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting at about 337K at the beginning of October and dipping to around 233K in early December. Downloads picked up again, reaching approximately 328K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from roughly 61.9M to 62.1M over the quarter.

Snapchat experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from about 188K in late September to around 136K in early November. However, downloads surged towards the end of December, peaking at roughly 221K. Weekly revenue for Snapchat remained modest, ranging from $151 to $197, with a slight increase in active users from approximately 15.9M to 17M.

Messenger maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with figures ranging from around 131K to 175K. Revenue showed an upward trend, particularly in November and December, peaking at about $252. Active users exhibited a gradual decline from around 19.9M to 18.8M by the end of December.

Telegram displayed a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at $813 and reaching about $1.8K by the end of the quarter.
